So what, Scholastic?

Camilla has two moms....

And so what? Well, Scholastic sure doesn't approve. They've said they don't want Lauren Myracle's new book in their book fairs because Camilla, one of the main characters in the book, has two moms. What kind of message does this send out to kids who have two moms or two dads? That they aren't normal. And they are.
A whole bunch of people agree on this. They support Lauren. Some people have even canceled visits from Scholastic to their school because of this. And they shouldn't regret it. I know I accept same-sex parents, and I think everyone should.
One quote that someone wrote to Lauren:
"The problem is not that [certain subject matter] is too difficult for children, but that it's too difficult for grown ups."
